在意甲第19轮的一场较量中，热那亚客场1-1战平米兰，热那亚在本场比赛的最后时刻获得了点球机会，去年夏天刚刚加盟的武汉三镇旧将斯坦丘走上了点球点，但他的射门直接飞上了看台，赛后，他遭遇了网暴。
对此，热那亚官方表示：“俱乐部强烈谴责在俱乐部社交媒体渠道上针对本俱乐部注册成员的所有仇恨言论、言语攻击和种族侮辱。”
“在这些沟通渠道上，绝不允许出现严重的侮辱、可耻的死亡威胁以及煽动暴力的言论，按照惯例，俱乐部将采取一切必要措施来保护其成员。”
